If any of you missed today's Style magazine it had a great feature on the growth of manufacturing in Britain. Brands such as Burberry, Pringle and Barbour are more widely known to hold 'Made in Britain' labels using garment, leather and knit factories throughout the Country.
What the article bought to light was that more and more brands are returning to these shores for better craftsmanship, such as Victoria Beckham, Paul Smith & JW Anderson. This can be pin pointed to the facts that due to the current economic situation companies are getting better value products for there money. This coupled with our stiffer laws on labour means they are more comfortable with how things are produced.
Lets hope this growth continues into 2012 and beyond.
