Hot off the press...Nicolas Ghesquière, and Balenciaga are parting ways after 15 years with Nicolas at the helm of the iconic fashion house. WWD writes, "The designer and the fashion house are citing a 'joint decision to end their working relationship' effective Nov 30th".
Francois-Henri Pinault, chairman and CEO of PPR stated, " With an incomparable creative talent, Nicolas has brought to Balenciaga an artistic contribution essential to the unique influence of the house."
So I guess now the questions are:
1) Whats Nicolas's next move?
2)Who will become Balenciaga's new Creative Director?
EKK I'm excited to know both! It would be an incredible opportunity to head up the design team at Balenciaga and from a creative point of view very forward thinking!
I would love the challenge, but who wouldn't!
