One To Watch - Lee Broom

Today, while browsing around Shoreditch I came across the new studio and store by Lee Broom. One of the UK's leading product and interior designers. The store acts as an exhibition space. Furniture, lighting and accessories are displayed in oversized bell jars against Broom's signature white and grey backdrop. The products combine multiple surfaces including upholstered quilting, walnut, lead crystal and brass, all of which play an intricate part in the stores appearance.

The store is enticing, and the product is divine. Contemporary, unmistakably British and predominantly made in the UK. This is a focused brand with ambition at the forefront. I can see one (or two) of these crystal ball table lamps looking rather lovely in my apartment. Watch this space!

Mood - GOOD DESIGN IS THOROUGH, DOWN TO THE LAST DETAIL

This week has flown by, I can't believe it is already Friday! I'm heavily inspired by minimal architecture and furniture design at present. I think it is down to having my new pad in East London. This mood began after reading an article on German designer Dieter Rams who believes 'good design is as little design as possible'.

Have a good weekend guys!
