Elin Kling's Wedding

I have recently had the pleasure of designing a bespoke wedding gown for a friend, which I cannot wait to share with you once I've received the professional photographs. My favourite aspect of a wedding is their individuality. A huge congrats to Elin Kling who got married last month in an intimate ceremony in Stockholm.

Her Balenciaga wedding dress reflected her personality, simple and elegant.

 As usual ACNE never fails to disappoint. I'd like to purchase a large portion of the collection, especially the outerwear pieces comprising of boiled wool and shearling set against slick silk.

Fotografiska - Helmut Newton Exhibition, Stockholm

I spent the weekend in Stockholm, travelling by boat to the Archipelago islands, drinking wine in the sun and visiting the City. I timed it just right with perfect weather, company and exhibitions. 

The Helmut Newton exhibit was extensive and well presented, staged at Fotografiska.  A documentary ran in the gallery giving a clear insight into Helmut's work ethic, humour and inspiration. His radical images tell a story and evoke the lives and lifestyle of the individual. He had a vivid and perverse imagination, the majority of the photographs within the exhibition are as relevant today as they were when they were shot.

Mood - Scandinavian Aesthetic

Last weekend I went to Stockholm for the first time to visit my best friend Sara, who showed me around the City. I have always been drawn to Scandinavian design from Interiors to Fashion, which have this almost clinical appeal. 

We popped into a few of the many ACNE stores which were difficult to leave empty handed. The garment construction, textures and splashes of colour are so carefully considered, to the finest of details. Onto interiors, the furniture pieces we saw had the same beauty to them, I literally wanted almost every piece for my imagery house back in London. I shall be returning for sure, have a great day!
