My Picks - Jil Sander Spring 15 RTW

I have just returned from Hong Kong where the luxury market is thriving. I always pop to Lane Crawford in Pacific Place which also houses stores including Céline, Burberry and 3.1 Philip Lim.

Lane Crawford really buys into each designer collection which makes it a lot more concise compared to its competitors. You get a much better sense of the brand and its message. Jil Sander is housed there and although once again their has been internal changes the brand is still true to its identity.

This spring, silhouettes were simple but striking. The show began with a school uniform vibe. Moving onto woven geometric jacquards, cocoon shirting and knitwear.

My Picks - Jil Sander Resort 2015

Please forgive me for my lack of posts. I have managed to take a week off and have been in what can only be described as paradise.

I am now catching up...to begin I have just seen the Jil Sander Resort collection. Although Jil Sander has parted ways with her self-named label for the third time, the brand has such a strong DNA that I am confident the label can still prosper with the right design team in place.

This season demonstrates exactly that with a concise photo shoot showcasing full length, detail and angled shots in a clean manner. White is the new black, set against variant shades of green and ochre. There are Japanese styling references with obi ties and dropped shoulders creating soft structures. There are a flurry of ideas just waiting to be developed further.

My Picks - Jil Sander Fall 14 RTW

Although Jil Sander has departed from her eponymous label, this collection demonstrated the superb quality and acute attention to garment construction which defines the brand.

My Picks - Jil Sander Fall 13 RTW

There's not one look from this show that I'm sceptical about. Jil Sander's is renowned for her intricate tailoring and acute attention to detail. I literally can't get enough of her Fall 13 presentation, showcasing a multitude of inventive outerwear pieces.

This is her second season back at the house, that bares her name and I think she's doing it proud!

Zoo Magazine Spring 2012

The androgynous feel of this shoot has caught my attention for Zoo Magazine Spring 2012 featuring Valerija Kelava by Dancian. The stylist is Jo Barker who combined a warbrobe of structural silhouettes in garments by Mugler, Jil Sander and Margiela to list just a few.
