My Picks - Jil Sander Resort 2015

Please forgive me for my lack of posts. I have managed to take a week off and have been in what can only be described as paradise.

I am now catching up...to begin I have just seen the Jil Sander Resort collection. Although Jil Sander has parted ways with her self-named label for the third time, the brand has such a strong DNA that I am confident the label can still prosper with the right design team in place.

This season demonstrates exactly that with a concise photo shoot showcasing full length, detail and angled shots in a clean manner. White is the new black, set against variant shades of green and ochre. There are Japanese styling references with obi ties and dropped shoulders creating soft structures. There are a flurry of ideas just waiting to be developed further.

My Picks - The Row PF14 RTW

This season the sisters looked upon gardeners as their initial source of inspiration. The Row's main focus is the working wardrobe executed from the most luxurious fabrications, down to the finest of details. Few designers showcase the classics like they do. My favourite pieces are the spacious midi skirt and the roomy trench coat, both of which are timeless garments.
An ankle length hem line is a key characteristic of this seasons collections.

Presenting the collection on models within varying age groups makes The Row even less pretentious and proves you can be stylish at any age.

My Picks - Proenza Schouler Resort 2014

I definitely felt there was a lightness to this collection, a looser vibe. The Proenza boys have been experimenting with new silhoulettes and pushing luxiourious finishing techniques. Bravo boys, I'd wear every look given the chance!
