Egon Schiele: The Radical Nude Exhibition

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of seeing the Egon Schiele: The Radical Nude exhibition at the Courtauld gallery.
It is rare for me to get the chance to go to an exhibition of late, but one things for sure, It will be my new years resolution to change that.

I have admired the work of Schiele since I was at De Monfort Art School, he was a central figure of Austrian Expressionism. His erotic and frank depiction of the human form has always intrigued me.
I am most drawn to the artists self portraits and nude drawings of 1910.
Bold charcoal outlines convey the human form, often heightened with the use of obscure watercolour tones.

These drawings have the power to shock and unsettle especially due to the unfamiliar poses and choice of models. I wonder what impact this had on the Viennese society at the time? As we now know a hundred years on Egon Schiele's legacy has grown in abundance.

If you get the opportunity to see this exhibition its a must. Get tickets HERE:

My Picks - SS15 Menswear London Detail Shots

Here are some of the details and styling I like so far this season. Margaret Howell has portrayed a classic British fishing scene complete with slim neck scarves. J.W. Anderson has combined preppy looks with sportswear elements.

Finally, Pringle of Scotland has stayed true to its roots, developing fractured knitted jacquards and checks complimented by strong tailored concepts.

Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty

Savage Beauty, the Met Museum's record breaking tribute to the late British fashion designer, Alexander McQueen is now finally here. We've only been waiting four years, but hey who's counting. Tickets are now on sale at London's V&A Museum for 2015.

I've heard from countless acquaintances how exhilarating the exhibition was in New York, so I can't wait to see some of Lee's exceptionally intricate and imaginative creations up close!

Overview Street Style Fall 14

This seasons shows have flown by as we near the end in Pari Pari. I am still in the process of reviewing them and will get back to you shortly. In the meantime I have gathered some of my favourite street style looks. Garments worn with ease, as layering tools creating varied proportions and silhouettes. Why over complicate when you have this sense of natural style?

Glorious Sunshine

I felt like I was in NY/Ibiza this weekend. Our new neighbours had a roof party in our block, with DJs and a fully fledged bar. The sun was shining, tunes were playing and drinks were flowing.

London we love the glorious sunshine!
